The leading symptoms of cirrhosis are:

  • Easy bruising and bleeding.
  • Itchy skin.
  • Yellow skin and eyes.
  • Absorption of fluid in the abdomen (ascites).
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Nausea.
  • Swelling of the leg.
  • Weight loss.
  • Confusion, drowsiness and unexplained speech (hepatic encephalopathy).
  • Spot red spots from which the spinal blood vessels spread.
  • Testes atrophy in men.
